Collagenase is a protease that can specifically degrade collagen. It mostly appears as white to pale yellow powder, is easily soluble in water, has high specific catalytic activity and high safety. Its core application is in the medical field, often used in the repair of wounds such as burns and chronic ulcers. It can degrade necrotic collagen in wounds, remove carrion, promote granulation tissue growth, and accelerate wound healing; it is also used in surgical operations to assist in tissue separation and reduce postoperative adhesion.
